Track Characteristics

Mexico City's Autódromo Hermanos Rodríguez sits at 2,240 meters above sea level, the highest altitude on the F1 calendar. The thin air reduces downforce by about 20% and starves engines of power, creating a unique engineering challenge. The stadium section through the old baseball arena Foro Sol is one of F1's most atmospheric corners.

History

Named after Mexican racing brothers Ricardo and Pedro Rodríguez, the circuit first hosted F1 in the 1960s. After a long absence, it returned in 2015 with a redesigned layout. The Foro Sol section was converted from a baseball stadium into a massive grandstand, creating an incredible atmosphere with over 130,000 fans.
