Track Characteristics

Barcelona's Circuit de Catalunya is the ultimate all-rounder test. Its mix of high-speed corners, slow hairpins, and long straights means a car must be competitive everywhere to win here. The demanding Turn 3 right-hander and the fast final sector separate the best from the rest.

History

Home of the Spanish Grand Prix since 1991, Catalunya is also F1's most-used winter testing venue, meaning teams know every inch of this track. The familiarity makes it a reliable barometer of car performance. The circuit was modified in 2023, removing the final chicane in favor of a faster layout.
